To mark the 50th anniversary of the National Wine Show of Australia in 2025 we launched the National Wine Festival. The only truly national celebration of Australian winemaking excellence, the festival returns in June 2026 at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra.

RIEDEL Wine Glass Experience
Ever heard a Chardonnay described as buttery but yours always taste woody or bland? Or a Pinot Noir as elegant or complex, but to you, it’s always underwhelming? When we don’t like a wine, we always fault the bottle and never think it might be the glass we’re using to blame.
In collaboration with the National Wine Show of Australia, RIEDEL will again present its internationally acclaimed Wine Glass Experience. This one-hour class is a fun and fascinating opportunity to learn how the shape and size of the glass affect your perception of wine’s aroma and flavour, enjoyable for any wine lover regardless of your level of knowledge.
All wines included are award-winning wines drawn from the 2026 National Wine Show, and participants will take home a RIEDEL Performance Tasting Set of four glasses, valued at $280.

Trophy Presentation Dinner
The 2026 National Wine Show of Australia Trophy Presentation Dinner will be held at The National Press Club. Join us for an exclusive front-row seat as Australia’s very best wines for 2026 are revealed.
Twenty-three trophies will be presented throughout the evening, with the wine awarded best in show receiving the ultimate accolade for an Australian winemaker, the Prime Minister's Trophy.

National Wine Show Dinner
Join us for a night of elegance and opulence. Held at five-star Hyatt Hotel Canberra’s Centenary Ballroom, a multi-course menu featuring seasonal local produce will be complemented by award-winning wines from Australia’s most important wine show.
From rare vintages to contemporary classics, this one-of-a-kind experience will be hosted by Hyatt General Manager Shane Jolly and 2026 Chair of Judges Matt Harrop.
